  1. Hi Tori
I’m a friend of Justin Blincoe’s in Dubai; he sent me your website link after I told him I’d been to Colorado to start a natural horsemanship journey at the Parelli Ranch (Pagosa Springs).

It’s great to see what you guys are doing; it’s a constant battle here in the UAE with not only horse abuse but animal abuse in general. I’ve recently rescued a 16 year old Arabian/Thoroughbred mare named Roxy; she’s been left with 1/2 a tongue and no muscle in her lower lip; her owner is an ex-prison guard who can’t tell the difference between an anxious, traumatized horse and one with strength and energy.

I’m heading back to Pagosa Springs, CO in Aug/Sept and would love to visit your ranch.

    Warm regards

  2. Hi Jodi,

The contribution your family is making to disadvantaged horses and children is a testament to compassion learned through love and loss. I’m keeping up with letters to Washington and Salazar as I go deeper into the subject and weaving pieces of the story together.

Is Michael Blake going to be there on July 24 or did that get postponed to Sept? I’d like to come back over.

Thank you for all you do, and the time you offered me. I look forward to seeing you again soon and buying one of Zuma’s lucky horse shoes.

    Warmest Regards,
    Mara LeGrand

  4. Dear Ms. Meisenbach,

We sincerely apologize for offending you and any hard feelings we have caused you. I received your poem from another board member who had received the forwarded message in what appeared to be a chain letter. When I googled “The Beauty of a Girl and a Horse” as the poem was titled in the forwarded email – I did not receive any searches indicating that this had been copyrighted. It was never our intention to steal your copyrighted work. We will remove your poem immediately and apologize for any confusion but wish you the best in the future and hope your poem continues to show the world why us “horse people” value our horses so very much.

    Have a lovely day.

  5. What an incredible outreach you have. I had the privelege right after becoming certified in equine massage therapy to volunteer at a NAHRA facility near my house. They provided free therapy on horses for children autism and other disabilities. The strides made were incredible although most of my contact was with the horse. The most gratifying moment was when the therapists noticed a difference in the horses from the massages they received. I would urge anyone certified to give an hour or two of your week to this center or any other like it near you. The rewards are unseen but felt all around !

    Keep

  6. There are other ways to treat this – using the AAKG and Jiagulan herbs – some owners are seeing healing occur in the tears and / or there is no further damage. My mustang has DSLD diagnosed by Ultra Sound and has been on the herbs since December and he is so much happier and less in pain although I do not ride him he is comfortable and happier than before. You can use MSM and Shark Cartilidge with the A&J. Website link gives you more details and allows you to join a study with Dr Kellon and Dr. Mero and order the herbs etc. There is a support group at dsld-equine@yahoogroups.com
